Thinking about a career as a driving instructor? You'll need someone who knows the qualifying process inside out to guide you through it.
I completed my own instructor training through the ORDIT standards programme under Lynne Fitzharris - a former DVSA head examiner and one of the most respected ADI trainers in the country. As a DVSA Grade A instructor, I've been through every stage myself and I know exactly what the examiner is looking for.
Whether you're starting from scratch or preparing for your Standards Check, I'll give you structured, professional training that gets results.
Training Options
What I Can Help You With
Every stage of the qualifying process, covered by someone who passed them all.
Part 2 Preparation
The driving ability test. I'll help you reach the advanced driving standard required, covering everything from vehicle control to hazard awareness on real Aberdeen roads.
Part 3 Preparation
The instructional ability test. This is where most trainees struggle. I'll teach you how to deliver a client-centred lesson that impresses the examiner.
Standards Check
Already qualified? I'll help you prepare for your Standards Check so you maintain your registration and aim for that Grade A rating.
Why Train with Me
The Credentials That Matter
Trained through ORDIT standards programme by former DVSA head examiner Lynne Fitzharris
No, you can use my dual-controlled vehicle for your training sessions. Once you're closer to qualifying, we can discuss transitioning to your own car if needed.
It varies depending on your starting ability and how much time you can commit. On average, most trainees need around 40-60 hours of training across all parts. We'll work at your pace.
Part 2 tests your own driving ability to an advanced standard. Part 3 tests your ability to teach someone else to drive. Both are practical tests conducted by a DVSA examiner.
I'll review your previous test feedback, identify the areas that need work, and put together a focused training plan to get you through next time.
